If your family missed your neighborhood Kindergarten Roundup in April, the Salina school district is providing another opportunity for children, parents and guardians to get acquainted with their school. This year, Salina USD 305 is hosting a Summer Kindergarten Roundup for all eight elementary schools at the district building on Gypsum Avenue in an effort to help families be the most prepared they can for their children to enter a public-school setting. Kindergarten comes with unique challenges for families, said Krista Linenberger, director of elementary programs and assessments at USD 305.
