A deer crashed into an OCCK passenger bus Tuesday morning north of Salina, near the junction of Kansas Highway 143, injuring two people.According to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, the bus was southbound on U.S. Highway 81 at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday when a deer ran westbound from the median, striking the bus. The driver's door window and front windshield of the bus were shattered. The driver, Mark Stokes, 61, of Formoso, was able to stop the bus on the shoulder of the highway.Two passenger were taken to Salina Regional Health Center with injuries, according to the report.
