Contract negotiations between Salina Regional Health Center and the largest health insurance provider in Kansas, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, are in a stalemate. According to Salina Regional Health Center, Each year Blue Cross sends every hospital and physician in the state a letter outlining the payment rates they will receive for the care they provide the following year. Each must then sign that offer by a certain date or the provider's contract ends and they become an out of network provider.
